Make sure to look for the signs of water damage in your home.

2. Purchasing a simple hygrometer to measure the humidity in your home can do wonders.  The ideal humidity level in your house should be 40-50%.  Temperature also plays a key role in managing the mold growth in your home.  Keep your home around 68-72 degrees.  
3. If you cannot manage the humidity in your home, you may need to purchase a dehumidifier.  This will work to take any lingering water out of the air in your home.
